The Phoebus PBM 4EVSL is a versatile vertical milling machine designed for precision machining in mechanical workshops, toolrooms, and maintenance departments. The machine features square sliding guideways that are hardened, tempered, and precision ground, providing smooth movements and excellent accuracy. This robust construction allows the machine to maintain stable performance even during demanding machining tasks.

The X and Y axis feeds are driven by independent ALIGN motors with continuous speed variation, ensuring precise control and smooth table movements. The Z axis feed is powered by an electric motor with gearbox, guaranteeing reliable vertical movement during drilling, milling, and boring operations.

All moving components are lubricated through a hydraulic lubrication system, which improves durability and reduces maintenance requirements.

The milling head can rotate, allowing the execution of inclined drilling and boring operations. The spindle speed variation is continuous, thanks to the inverter-controlled head, which allows fast and precise adjustment of spindle speed for different machining conditions.

With 880 mm travel on the X axis, 400 mm on the Y axis, and 450 mm on the Z axis, the Phoebus PBM 4EVSL provides a practical working envelope for machining small to medium mechanical components. The ISO 40 spindle taper allows the use of a wide range of standard milling and drilling tools.
