The Phoebus PBM GEVS600A is a versatile vertical and horizontal milling machine designed for precision machining in mechanical workshops, toolrooms, and small production environments. Its dual spindle configuration allows both vertical and horizontal milling operations, significantly expanding the range of possible machining applications.

The machine is equipped with a vertical milling head with inverter control, which provides continuous spindle speed variation for optimal cutting conditions. The head can tilt ±90° (right and left), enabling inclined drilling, milling, and boring operations. In addition, the RAM can rotate 360°, allowing flexible positioning of the head for complex machining tasks.

Alongside the vertical spindle, the machine also includes a horizontal spindle, allowing operators to perform a wider variety of milling operations and increasing the machine’s versatility.

The X and Y axes are driven by ball screws, ensuring smooth movements, high positioning accuracy, and minimal backlash. The X, Y, and Z axes are powered by original YASKAWA servomotors and drives, which provide precise control and allow the Z axis to function as a fully operational working axis.

To ensure reliability and durability, the machine features an automatic centralized lubrication system, which lubricates all sliding components. A coolant tank for chip evacuation is also included to maintain efficient machining conditions.

For faster tool changes, the machine is equipped with a quick pneumatic drawbar system for tool clamping on the vertical spindle. On the GEVS600A model, the pneumatic drawbar can also be installed on the horizontal spindle upon request.

An optional hydropneumatic support system for continuous Z-axis operation is available on all EVS models, improving stability during prolonged machining processes.

With 1200 mm travel on the X axis, 650 mm on the Y axis, and 455 mm on the Z axis, the Phoebus PBM GEVS600A provides a generous working envelope suitable for machining medium-sized mechanical components with precision and efficiency.
