The Phoebus PBM EVS600A is a powerful and versatile vertical milling machine designed for precision machining in mechanical workshops, toolrooms, and small production environments. Its modern construction and advanced drive systems ensure high reliability, flexibility, and machining accuracy.
The machine is equipped with a vertical milling head with inverter control, allowing continuous spindle speed variation for optimal cutting conditions depending on the material and machining operation. The milling head can tilt ±90° (right and left), enabling inclined drilling, milling, and boring operations.
For maximum flexibility, the machine features a RAM capable of 360° rotation, allowing the operator to easily position the head for complex machining tasks.
The X and Y axes are driven by ball screws, ensuring smooth movements, improved positioning accuracy, and elimination of backlash. The X, Y, and Z axes are powered by original YASKAWA servomotors and drives, providing precise axis control and making the Z axis a fully operational machining axis.
The machine is equipped with an automatic centralized lubrication system, which lubricates all moving parts and guideways, improving reliability and reducing maintenance. A coolant tank for chip evacuation is also included to support efficient machining operations.
For faster and easier tool changes, the machine includes a quick pneumatic drawbar system for tool clamping.
An optional hydropneumatic support system for continuous Z-axis operation is available on all EVS models, improving stability and performance during prolonged machining cycles.
With 1200 mm travel on the X axis, 650 mm on the Y axis, and 455 mm on the Z axis, the Phoebus PBM EVS600A offers a large working envelope suitable for machining medium-sized mechanical components with precision and efficiency.
