The Phoebus PBM EVS500A is a highly versatile vertical milling machine designed for precision machining in mechanical workshops, toolrooms, and production environments. Thanks to its modern design and advanced drive systems, the machine offers excellent performance for a wide range of milling operations.

The machine features a robust structure designed for stability and precision, combined with ball screw drives on the X and Y axes, which ensure smooth movements, improved positioning accuracy, and reduced backlash compared to traditional lead screws.

The milling head can tilt ±90° (right and left), allowing the execution of inclined drilling, milling, and boring operations. In addition, the RAM can rotate 360°, providing high flexibility and making it possible to reach different machining angles and positions.

The machine is equipped with YASKAWA original servomotors and drives on the X, Y, and Z axes, ensuring precise axis control and smooth motion. The Z axis motorization allows the axis to operate as a fully controlled working axis, improving machining capability and operator control.

The machine includes an automatic centralized lubrication system, ensuring proper lubrication of moving parts and increasing the machine’s service life. A coolant tank for chip evacuation is also provided to support efficient machining operations.

For faster tool changes, the machine is equipped with a quick pneumatic drawbar system for tool clamping. Additionally, a hydropneumatic support system for continuous Z-axis operation is available as an optional feature on all EVS models, improving stability during prolonged machining operations.

With 1150 mm travel on the X axis, 540 mm on the Y axis, and 385 mm on the Z axis, the Phoebus PBM EVS500A offers a large working envelope suitable for machining medium-sized mechanical components.
