Bed Type Moving Column Milling Boring Machine MTE SB-10000

The MTE SB-10000 is a bed type moving column milling and boring machine designed for machining medium to large workpieces requiring high precision, rigidity, and thermal stability. The configuration with fixed bed and moving column with lateral RAM ensures excellent structural stability and consistent machining performance over long travels.

The machine structure is manufactured from Meehanite cast iron, providing excellent vibration absorption and long-term dimensional stability. The moving column slides on linear guideways with preloaded roller packs, guaranteeing smooth movements, high load capacity, and precise positioning.

The Z-axis is equipped with a hydraulic counterbalance system, which improves axis stability and reduces load on the drive system during vertical movements. A thermal probe installed on the RAM continuously monitors temperature variations to compensate for thermal expansion, maintaining high machining accuracy.

The machine can be equipped with different automatic milling heads, including indexed heads or continuous heads, allowing flexible machining from multiple angles and for complex operations.

To ensure optimal spindle performance during demanding operations, the machine features a spindle oil cooling system, helping maintain constant operating temperature and extending spindle life.

An automatic tool magazine with 40 / 60 / 80 positions supports horizontal or vertical tool change, allowing efficient tool management for complex machining cycles. The machine also includes rigid tapping with spindle orientation, enabling precise threading operations.

The through-tool coolant system (DIN 69871B ISO 50) improves cutting efficiency, chip evacuation, and tool life during heavy machining processes.

Thanks to its large working capacity and modular configuration, the SB-10000 is suitable for machining medium-large mechanical structures and heavy industrial components.
