Bed Type Moving Column Milling Boring Machine MTE SB-6000

The MTE SB-6000 is a bed type moving column milling and boring machine designed for precision machining of medium-large components while maintaining a compact machine footprint. Its configuration with fixed bed and moving column ensures high rigidity and excellent stability during heavy milling and boring operations.

The machine structure is built from Meehanite cast iron, providing excellent vibration damping and long-term dimensional stability. The moving column runs on linear guideways with preloaded roller packs, ensuring smooth movement, high load capacity, and precise positioning along the axes.

The vertical carriage also moves on roller guideways, guaranteeing rigidity and accuracy during demanding machining operations. The X-axis longitudinal movement is driven by a gear reducer with double pinion and double motor, delivering powerful and stable motion over the full axis travel.

The machine is equipped with an automatic milling head with 2.5° indexing on two articulations, with spindle speeds of 4,000 or 6,000 rpm, allowing flexible machining from multiple angles. The spindle nose with Big Plus interface ensures high rigidity and precision during cutting operations.

An automatic tool magazine with 40 / 60 / 80 positions supports horizontal or vertical tool change, allowing efficient management of complex machining cycles. The machine also features rigid tapping with spindle orientation, ensuring accurate threading operations.

The through-tool coolant system (DIN 69871B) improves cutting performance, chip evacuation, and tool life. Thanks to its compact layout, the SB-6000 is ideal for workshops that require large machining capacity within limited floor space.
