The Phoebus VST 1500 is a bed type vertical milling machine designed for precision machining and versatile workshop applications. Its robust mechanical construction and modern motion control systems provide high rigidity, smooth axis movement, and reliable machining accuracy.
The machine features square hardened and precision ground sliding guideways with “V” profile, ensuring excellent structural stability and smooth movements even during demanding machining operations. Precision ballscrews on the X, Y, and Z axes provide accurate positioning and high repeatability.
The inverter fast head allows variable spindle speed control, enabling the machine to adapt to different materials and machining conditions. The quick pneumatic drawbar system ensures fast and secure tool clamping, reducing setup times and improving operational efficiency.
To guarantee long-term reliability, the milling machine is equipped with an automatic centralized lubrication system, ensuring proper lubrication of the guideways and mechanical components. The chip coolant tank assists in chip evacuation and cooling during machining operations.
The machine uses original Yaskawa servomotors and drives on the X, Y, and Z axes, providing precise axis control and dynamic performance. The Z axis motor and drive configuration allow it to function as a fully controlled working axis, improving machining accuracy and operational flexibility.
For improved safety and coolant containment, the machine can optionally be equipped with a full perimeter enclosure with chip collecting tank and front access doors.
