The Phoebus VST 1200 is a bed type vertical milling machine designed for precision machining and flexible workshop applications. Thanks to its robust construction and modern drive systems, the machine ensures high rigidity, reliable performance, and consistent machining accuracy.
The structure features square hardened and precision ground sliding guideways with “V” profile, providing excellent stability and smooth axis movements during machining operations. The machine is equipped with precision ballscrews on the X, Y, and Z axes, ensuring high positioning accuracy and repeatability.
The inverter fast head allows variable spindle speed control, making the machine suitable for a wide range of milling operations and materials. The quick pneumatic drawbar enables fast and efficient tool clamping, improving productivity and reducing setup times.
To maintain optimal operating conditions, the milling machine includes an automatic centralized lubrication system, ensuring proper lubrication of the guideways and mechanical components. A chip coolant tank helps manage chips and coolant during machining, keeping the working area clean and efficient.
The machine is powered by original Yaskawa servomotors and drives on the X, Y, and Z axes, providing precise axis control and dynamic performance. The Z axis motor and drive configuration allow it to function as a fully controlled working axis, enhancing machining precision.
For improved operator safety and coolant containment, the machine can optionally be equipped with a perimeter enclosure with chip collecting tank and front access doors.
